    ABOUT ME

Lou Mack supports

The SAFE Foundation

I am a freelance Makeup and Hair Artist (Welsh born) with over 10 years experience in the TV, Film, Theatre, and Commercial industry.

As a trained performing artist, my combined creative experience and interest in aesthetics and the creative transformation of productions, led me to study further in Makeup and Hair Artistry at the BBC training school in London. I have worked professionally in this field ever since and have gained a thorough understanding in all aspects of the arts.

My makeup and hair work is influenced by an eclectic mixture of genres and styles, including television, film, editorial, fashion and theatre.  I’m trained in all areas of makeup and hair artistry including vintage, period drama and special effects. This has enabled me to work diversely within the industry and highlights my versatility as a person and as an artist.

I work confidently to a set brief but thrive on collaborative and highly creative projects that require me to work in an intuitive and inventive way. I have been fortunate to collaborate with some incredible artists including the acclaimed photographer Lawrence Watson who I recently had the privilege of working with on a celebrity photographic project. The variety and range of projects and people that I meet through my work is why I love my job with a passion!

I am happy to work as a HMUA on the Makeup and Hair team or as a Daily artist.

I work nationwide as I have bases in London, Manchester, the South West and South Wales.
